ZZZ Foundation was founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to respond to the urgent needs of children who lost parents and were emotionally displaced. What began as psycho-social support for primary and high school learners has grown into a comprehensive community development initiative addressing health, education, social welfare, and family support.
We work in the Kabokweni and Malekutu areas under the City of Mbombela in Mpumalanga, where communities face high rates of HIV/AIDS, TB, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, and poverty. Many children are now raised by grandparents due to the absence of parents, and families continue to struggle with the lasting impact of the pandemic.
Our aim is to reach previously disadvantaged individuals, provide lasting impact through strong collaborations, and deliver quality, confidential services that empower individuals and families.
We envision a generation in which education and knowledge positively contributes to every persons’ ability in order to reach their potential through community development and partnership initiatives.
Our mission is to prepare and equip young people and other key population with the knowledge and skills to contribute to a better society that is free from poverty and its effects, chronic illnesses, and inspire economic independence.
Provide young people with leadership training and emotional intelligence skills through assemblies, counselling, youth camps, and online engagement platforms.
Collaborate with organizations and community stakeholders to support youth development by running awareness campaigns and formalizing partnerships through MOUs.
Strengthen family bonds through counselling sessions and awareness campaigns that address family-related challenges.
Educate communities about issues such as substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, HIV & AIDS, TB, and GBV using health centre campaigns, information distribution, school programs, seminars, and social media.
Create opportunities for economic growth by establishing an information centre that provides easy access to skills development and job opportunities.
Establish local, regional, and international networks to secure resources for the foundation through a fundraising strategy, donor information packages, and an informative website.
We believe in the power of collaboration. Our partnerships with local clinics, Zamokuhle Disability Centre, SANCA, schools, and community leaders help us extend our reach and impact.
We are inclusive and non-discriminatory serving people of all religions, genders, and backgrounds. Our work is grounded in compassion, integrity, and community engagement, with the goal of creating lasting, positive change.
Empowering communities through information and support in the prevention, testing, and treatment of HIV/AIDS, TB, teenage pregnancy, and substance abuse.
